  1. These are amazingly bold and brazen Elaine. Many of your recent works remind me of earlier work of the artist Brigid Riley – have you heard of her? But I am particularly impressed with the delicacy of the way you have expressed the waves in the first painting. I think it’s really beautiful.

    1. Thanks Helene, with the first painting I was playing around with a water colour brush and suddenly I thought hmm these look like waves which then made me add the girl, this is what happens when you don’t plan and just play around. I use the Artstudio pro program which allows me to select different brushes and mediums of paints I still can’t cope with oil paints 😬 because I paint very quickly. At the moment I’m playing around with layering because you can go back in and change things layer by layer. It’s really quite fascinating. I’ve been told that some of my artwork reminds people of other artists and I like to have a look and see if I can see what they mean and I usually can. I just wish I could find my niche instead of jumping around…. Unfortunately that’s my mindset 🙄

      1. You appear to draw from the right side you your brain, in other words the creative side, and you let it take you where it wants. It’s great to have the ability to do that. Long may it last!
